Designed by industry veteran Lynn Olson specifically to address the needs of tube and low power amplifiers. The Ariel is an MTM transmission line using the Scan-Speak D2905/9300 tweeter and dual Vifa P13WH woofers. The ME2 is electrically identical but is housed in a vented box. Both systems are characterized by a detailed, agile low end, rich midrange, smooth top end and outstanding imaging, and are and excellent match for most single ended amplifiers. The North Creek Borealis Project:

A high end two-way monitor loudspeaker system featuring the Scan-Speak 18W/8545 woofer and Scan-Speak D2905/9500 tweeter in an 18 liter vented box, designed for a 12" to 14" stand.

This system is aggressively tuned in the low end to be very dynamic with most transistor amps, and offers excellent dynamic range coupled with a smooth, extremely detailed midrange and sweet top end. The resolution of the carbon fiber woofer is outstanding, particularly in the lower midrange. Sound stage retrieval and image placement is also excellent with this loudspeaker.

The Borealis crossover is a third order and features Crescendo and Zen capacitors, Ohmite resistors, and 18 and 10 AWG Music coil inductors. All crossover components are provided in hand matched pairs. Project includes drivers, crossover components, binding posts, all connectors, internal wiring and detailed instructions, plus a copy of the North Creek Cabinet Handbook and North Creek Wiring Guide; in short, everything except the wood. The North Creek Rhythm Project

The Rhythm high performance loudspeaker system features dual ultra-long throw SCAN-SPEAK 18W/8545 carbon fiber woofers and the D2905 fabric dome tweeter in an MTM configuration. The system is housed in a QB3 vented cabinet with an F3 of 36 Hz. The third order crossover network is manufactured of the highest quality components and provided in 1% hand matched pairs.

The Rhythm system is very dynamic, with an aggressively tuned low end, rich, detailed mid bass, smooth midrange and soft, sweet top end. Sound stage retrieval and imaging abilities are excellent. This loudspeaker is also capable of incredible dynamic range and can play extremely loud without any hint of break-up. The system was designed for transistor amplifier applications, however when purchased with the SCAN-SPEAK Revelator tweeter it is equally suited for tube amplification, and because of its 91dB sensitivity will work well with most SET amps.

The Rhythm project includes drivers, all crossover components hand matched to ±1%, crossover boards, internal wiring, solder, connectors, binding posts, grille fasteners, screws, nuts, bolts, port tubes, NCMS Soft Glue, other adhesives, and the Rhythm information packet; in short, everything except the wood. The ability to read schematics, soldering skills, and electrical assembly skills are required to complete the project, and it is definitely not recommended for the first time builder.

Rhythm 9500 Project Consists of drivers, all 14 AWG air core inductors, Zen high frequency film capacitors bypassed with Harmony capacitors throughout, all Ohmite power resistors, all crossover components hand matched to ±1%, TefFlex AGå wiring bypassed with Vampire OFHC copper, Big Poststm binding posts, Big Toetm spikes, etc; everything required to build the loudspeaker system except the wood.
